STAR Membership

Through educational, administrative and legislative efforts, STAR works for the betterment of rheumatology practices and patients in Texas. Membership dues are $100 annually.

Active Membership Eligibility
Those eligible for Active membership in this Society shall be physicians engaged in active practice in the State of Texas and who devote either all or the greater part of their practice to the specialty of Rheumatology, and who are active members of the American College of Rheumatology, or are certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Rheumatology Subsection.

Allied Health Professional Membership Eligibility
Those eligible for Allied Health Professional membership in this Society shall be Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants who are duly licensed to practice in the state of Texas and have at least one year experience practicing rheumatology, and are currently working under the auspices of a current member of the State of Texas Association of Rheumatologists. (STAR)

PharmD, PhD, and Medical Science Liaisons are not eligible for membership.
